Dean’s Message
The idea of empowering teachers is more than a phrase or slogan in the Keeran School of Education. It captures the essence of the faculty, staff and students as they fulfill the mission of the University. I believe in developing teachers who are good citizens and not just consumers.
Graduates of KSE are prepared and ready to meet the challenges of today’s schools. They are expected to be life-long learners and role models in professional and social communities. As teachers they are anchored in theoretical research, and are experienced in diverse cultural settings. Graduates have extensive field-based educational experiences. Candidates are instructed to design, plan, and create while maintaining a rich learning climate.
Teacher Candidates reflect and evaluate the learning process while collaborating with parents and other stakeholders. In short the Faculty, Staff, and Graduates of the Keeran School of Education are expected to exemplify Christ, Character and Career.
